A Chic Date Night Amidst Growing Tensions
The 25-year-old daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay recently shared a glimpse of a date night with her swimmer partner. Holly looked chic in a brown trench coat, posing for a sweet snap posted to her Instagram Stories on Saturday. She wore a figure-hugging black dress with sheer tights and elegant heels, while Adam kept it casual in a white T-shirt and black jacket.
Despite the romantic appearance, the couple's upcoming nuptials have been plunged into controversy. The pair are set to exchange vows at Bath's historic Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul this Christmas, followed by festive drinks. However, the celebration will be notably missing most of Adam's family.
The Hen Do Snub That Sparked a War
The roots of the feud became public last month when it was revealed Adam had taken the drastic step of uninviting his relatives from the wedding. This shocking move came after his mother, Caroline Peaty, was not invited to Holly's luxurious hen party at the exclusive Soho Farmhouse.
That event was attended by Holly's mother Tana, Adam's sister Bethany, and even Victoria Beckham. The snub triggered a wave of allegations from the Peaty family. Adam's aunt, Louise, publicly blasted the couple on social media, later claiming Caroline was excluded from the wedding due to her appearance and not having the right "look."
Further reports suggested tensions began earlier, at the couple's engagement party in December. The party was filmed for Gordon Ramsay's upcoming Netflix documentary, with guests required to sign non-disclosure agreements and hand in their phones. Sources claim Caroline was unhappy some family members weren't present and confronted Gordon Ramsay at the event.
One Sister Survives the Fallout
Amidst the acrimony, one member of Adam's family appears to have remained in favour: his sister, Bethany. She was the only Peaty relative to attend the hen do and is reportedly set to be a bridesmaid.
According to reports, Bethany "fits in" with the Ramsays' glamorous world, with a source suggesting, "she's blonde and very pretty." The same source claimed Bethany has been "taken with the celebrity lifestyle" and was "over the moon" to be mixing with figures like Victoria Beckham.
Adam recently broke his silence on the rift with a lengthy Instagram statement. He insisted there are "two sides to every story" and that he, Holly, and Bethany "will get through these challenging times." He also cited an ongoing police investigation into serious matters that arose long before recent events as a reason they cannot go into further detail.
