Millie Mackintosh Focuses on Family During Hampshire Staycation After Separation

Millie Mackintosh has been embracing a new chapter with her young daughters following her recent separation from husband Hugo Taylor. The former Made In Chelsea star enjoyed a half-term staycation in Hampshire last week, sharing glimpses of the lavish getaway on Instagram.

Family Time in the Countryside

The reality television personality, who shares daughters Sienna, five, and four-year-old Aurelia with Taylor, documented their countryside retreat at a hotel that offered numerous amenities. The trio, accompanied by their family dog Luna, made the most of the hotel's facilities including a stable where the children enjoyed horse riding.

Millie showcased her versatile style during the trip, first appearing in a leather jacket and sunglasses before adopting a more rustic look with a waxed jacket and wellington boots. Her daughters appeared thoroughly entertained as they rode horses and played in the park throughout their stay.

Special Moments and Milestones

The holiday included a particularly memorable moment when Sienna lost her first tooth, prompting a visit from the tooth fairy. Millie captioned her Instagram post: 'My first time staying @fshampshire with the girls and it completely ticked all the boxes. The kids' pool, the horses, the comfiest beds and having Luna with us made it even more special.'

She added: 'There was even a little visit from the tooth fairy, as Sienna lost her first tooth the perfect way to end half term. #prstay'.

Navigating Separation and Co-Parenting

Millie and Hugo Taylor announced their separation on February 2, seven years after exchanging vows in June 2018. The couple first met as teenagers and initially dated during their time on E4's Made In Chelsea.

Sources close to the pair confirm they remain committed to co-parenting their children, who continue to be their primary priority. A source told the Daily Mail: 'Millie and Hugo are currently going through a separation and have sadly decided to split. They have known each other for many years, and in recent weeks, have had serious conversations about their future, ultimately deciding it's better for them both to part ways.'

The insider continued: 'Their main priority remains their children and family life, and separating is not something they ever hoped would happen. At present, they are considering what living apart might look like and how they plan to navigate co-parenting their young children. It's been an incredibly difficult start to the year, and one they hope to continue managing in private.'

Personal Growth and Sobriety Journey

Earlier this week, Millie appeared on the podcast A Millennial Mind, where she spoke about rebuilding her identity after going sober. The 36-year-old described the process as transformative, explaining that giving up alcohol had prompted significant self-reflection.

Millie detailed her journey of self-discovery, stating: 'I would say being able to start loving myself and getting to know myself has been the best thing because I feel like I've really been able to kind of start stepping into the woman that I truly want to be.'

She continued: 'It's been a really transformative process. Kind of like I almost had to burn down the old me. To start again and then figure out, okay, who am I? What do I like? Who am I without alcohol?'

The mother-of-two revealed she has been re-evaluating her personality and preferences, discovering she is 'a really sensitive introvert who's got ADHD, gets really over stimulated really easily, who actually likes small gatherings, early nights, being with her dog, being silly with her kids.'

Millie emphasized the importance of self-relationship, noting: 'Truly getting to know myself and the most important relationship we have in our lives is the one we have with ourselves. And when I was drinking, I did not like myself one bit. I was carrying all that shame. I hated myself.'

Despite the challenges of her separation, Millie expressed excitement for the future and her commitment to personal growth, stating she is now 'enjoying being alone' and beginning to 'start stepping into the woman that I truly want to be.'
