Bobby Norris Told He Could Be Dead in 12 Hours

TOWIE star Bobby Norris has revealed that doctors warned him he could be dead within 12 hours during a terrifying health battle last year. The reality TV personality, 39, opened up about his ordeal on ITV's This Morning, explaining how the scare prompted him to undergo his latest round of cosmetic procedures, including a facelift.

Health Scare Details

Speaking to hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, Norris recounted the frightening experience: "I'd had health problems last year. Another story for another time. But the doctor was quite honest. I mean, I was having so many tests done. There's more of my blood in fridges around Essex than Mounjaro, and that's saying something. And the lovely doctor said at one point, 'We've got a specialist here. And if it's something he thinks it is, you could be dead in 12 hours.'"

Norris admitted the warning was a shock: "In your head, you think... 'Well, I can't die. I'm going to Sheesh tonight.' Because at my age, you don't expect to hear that. And then I kind of thought, 'Well, we all have these age things in our heads.' I thought, 'Well, why am I waiting for my 40s to correct something?'"

Plastic Surgery Decisions

The star explained that the health scare influenced his decision to have cosmetic surgery sooner rather than later. "Some of the tests had come back, and they were like, 'There's a chance it could be this.' And when you lay there and you think that... I knew I'd always do my face in my 40s... and I thought, 'Well, I'm waiting for my 40s for that but tomorrow isn't guaranteed.'"

Norris detailed his latest procedures, which included a facelift, a neck lift, and surgery to remove bags under his eyes. "I feel so good. I mean, I'm still a little bit swollen. But I think they say nine to 12 months to really settle in. So I've still got some swelling, but I feel good. It's not my first rodeo with surgery."

Honesty About Surgery

The TOWIE star emphasised the importance of being open about cosmetic work. "Surgery does come with its dangers," he said. "But I think a lot of people, and no tea, no shade, but aren't open about it. And I just don't believe in lying to people that have followed me and watched me for 15 years because it's just not achievable through honey and oatmeal scrubs, do you know what I mean?"

This Morning airs on ITV from 10am on weekdays.
