Michael Sheen has reportedly signed up for the celebrity version of BBC's hit show The Traitors, hosted by Claudia Winkleman. The 57-year-old actor, known for his roles in Frost/Nixon and The Damned United, is described as a 'big dog signing' by a show insider, as first reported by The Sun.
Sheen, who played Prince Andrew in the Prime Video drama A Very Royal Scandal, is a known fan of the show. He previously received a special birthday video message from Diane Carson, a civilian contestant from the 2022 series. Filming for the celebrity edition is set to begin later this year.
The celebrity series sees stars playing for charity, a cause close to Sheen's heart. He has supported the Homeless World Cup and spent over £100,000 of his own money to wipe out £1 million of debt for 900 people in South Wales for a Channel 4 documentary.
Sheen recently took on another high-profile role as the new host of House of Games, replacing Richard Osman. The first series of Celebrity Traitors was won by Alan Carr, who raised £87,500 for Neuroblastoma UK. The finale attracted an average of 11.1 million viewers, making it the biggest live audience of the year for a single TV show.
