Mel B and Rory McPhee's Magical First Christmas as Newlyweds in Lapland
Mel B's Heart 'So Full' on Festive Lapland Honeymoon

Spice Girl Melanie Brown, better known as Mel B, and her husband, hairdresser Rory McPhee, have been celebrating their first festive season as a married couple with a magical trip to Lapland. The singer, 50, shared a heartwarming album of snaps from their snowy getaway to Instagram on Monday, showing the pair looking happier than ever.

A Romantic Double Wedding

The couple's Lapland adventure comes after a whirlwind year of wedding celebrations. Mel B and Rory McPhee, 37, first exchanged vows in a ceremony at London's St Paul's Cathedral earlier this year. Just weeks later, they held a second, emotional outdoor ceremony in the exotic surroundings of Marrakesh, Morocco.

Speaking to HELLO! Magazine about her Moroccan wedding, Mel revealed she and Rory broke down in happy tears as they tied the knot. The event was attended by guests including her Spice Girls bandmate Mel C, who had missed the London ceremony. Mel's children played pivotal roles: her eldest daughter Phoenix, 26, walked her down the aisle, while Angel, 18, served as a groomsman and Madison, 13, was a bridesmaid.

Snowy Adventures Under the Northern Lights

The couple's festive trip to Finland was filled with classic winter activities and breathtaking scenery. In her social media posts, Mel B shared images and videos of the pair:

  • Enjoying a thrilling sledding trip through the snowy mountains.
  • Exploring the landscape and hunting for the northern lights on snowmobiles.
  • Taking a brave dip in an iced lake and walking through picturesque snowy villages.

Captioning her post, the singer confessed that her heart felt 'so full' after spending their Christmas in the winter wonderland.

A Fiery Red Wedding Gown Fit for a Mermaid

Reflecting further on her Moroccan wedding, Mel B opened up about her stunning attire. She wore a sheer, red Justin Alexander gown, hand-beaded with red crystals and bugle beads, which took six artisans more than 850 hours to create. The dress was complemented by a Moroccan-inspired cathedral veil.

Mel explained her choice of colour was an ode to Moroccan culture, stating: 'As the sun went down, I wanted to look like a floating mermaid – a fiery red passionate one – gliding in ruby diamonds.' She described Morocco as having a 'very red va-va-voom' that is both passionate and spiritual.

The celebrations also featured a spontaneous Spice Girls sing-off, with Mel B and Mel C belting out a rendition of their hit song 'Holler' on the dance floor. Mel B described having her 'fellow northerner' there as incredibly special, marking a perfect end to their unique dual-wedding experience.
