Love Island presenter Maya Jama is making significant changes to her work routine for the upcoming Love Island: All Stars series to prioritise her relationship with Manchester City defender Rúben Dias.
Schedule Shake-up for Love Star
The 31-year-old television host, who has been dating the 28-year-old Portuguese footballer for several months, plans to fly back to the UK during filming breaks for the January All Stars edition in Cape Town. This marks a departure from her usual approach of remaining in the private villa throughout filming.
The 2026 series will run for an extended six weeks, making it longer than typical Love Island seasons. With Manchester City facing a congested fixture schedule during this period, Dias is unlikely to travel to South Africa to visit Jama.
A source revealed to The Sun: "Maya and Ruben are happier than ever and will be keen to see each other whilst she films All Stars, which is back for an extended run in 2026. He's extremely unlikely to be able to take time out of training and visit Cape Town, so Maya will fly back when she can around ITV's schedule."
Football Commitments Clash with Filming
Jama is expected to travel to Cape Town during the first week of January, coinciding with crucial matches in Manchester City's season. The football club faces significant Premier League fixtures including:
- A Manchester derby at Old Trafford on January 17
- An important away game against Liverpool on February 7
Dias's professional commitments mean he cannot easily travel to support his partner during the filming period, necessitating Jama's flexible approach to scheduling.
Property Hunt in Cheshire's Golden Triangle
The relationship developments come weeks after reports emerged that the couple were considering a £4 million mansion in Cheshire's exclusive "Golden Triangle" area. The property, originally won through an Omaze prize draw by Emily Ward with a £25 ticket, has reportedly been viewed three times by the celebrity pair.
The stunning 6,300 square foot home features four bedrooms, panoramic views, landscaped gardens and a luxury indoor leisure suite. Located in Alderley Edge, the property is available to rent for approximately £20,000 per month or for outright purchase.
An insider shared: "It's the third time Ruben and Maya have looked at the property. They spent about two hours there on Wednesday. Ruben arrived in his Lamborghini and Maya came separately in a chauffeur-driven Mercedes."
The couple appeared "deep in thought" as they left the property together, according to sources, who described them as "very happy together" and keen to establish a permanent home.
Manchester Move and Relationship Timeline
Recent reports suggest Jama is considering relocating to Manchester to be closer to her footballer partner. The presenter has frequently attended matches at the Etihad Stadium to support Dias throughout their relationship.
The couple initially met after catching each other's attention at the European Music Awards in November last year. Their romance became public knowledge when they were spotted showing affection at KSI's Baller League event in April.
Dias recently addressed their relationship publicly for the first time, telling The Telegraph: "No, I think that's the last thing you think about. We are just both aware of it, and there's no way around it. But at the end of the day, you don't make it about it."
The couple enjoyed a sun-soaked getaway to Capri during the off-season, where they were photographed sharing intimate moments aboard a yacht.
A source close to the couple revealed: "Maya loves the down-to-earth nature of Manchester, as well as the glamour of the football and WAG scene. Bristol and London will always be special to her, but she is loving spending more time in Manchester with Ruben."
