Matt Richardson Slams 'Delusional' Celebrities from Coach Trip in Blunt TikTok
Matt Richardson's Brutal Coach Trip Confessions on TikTok

TV presenter Matt Richardson has launched a scathing attack on some of his fellow contestants from Celebrity Coach Trip, branding their behaviour as 'delusional and mad' in a candid social media video.

The Brutal TikTok Confession

In a blunt TikTok video, the 34-year-old, who found fame presenting The Xtra Factor in 2013, opened up about his time on the Channel 4 show's celebrity edition in 2022. While he admitted there were 'some lovely people' on the tour, he didn't mince his words about others.

'I found it really hard work. Not because of the show, it was the other celebs,' Richardson confessed. He pinpointed the tension around the daily voting process, where pairs are eliminated, as a major issue. 'There were some people who made it weird because they cared about the vote at the end of the day and would get annoyed if you voted for them even though they’d voted for you.'

'Delusional' Ambitions and Naming Names

Richardson revealed the extreme lengths some went to, claiming one contestant believed winning the show could land them a high-profile presenting role. 'One person had said that if they won Coach Trip they were hoping to get the Love Island hosting job. They were delusional and mad,' he stated, adding he discusses it further in an upcoming stand-up special.

When pressed by a fan in the comments to name names, the comedian obliged. 'Honey G and that awful woman from the valleys were dreadful, and the Olympian whose name escapes me,' he replied, likely referring to The Valleys star Lateysha Grace.

A Star-Studded but Tense Trip

The series in question featured a large cast of famous faces, including:

  • Big Brother presenter Will Best (Richardson's travel partner)
  • Geordie Shore's Sophie Kasaei and James Tindale
  • Love Island's Finley Tapp and Paige Turley
  • Rapper Honey G
  • RuPaul's Drag Race UK stars Ginny Lemon and Sister Sister
  • Olympians Ashley McKenzie, Andrew Pozzi, and Adam Gemili
  • Singer Chesney Hawkes and former MP's partner Nancy Dell'Olio

The series was ultimately won by Birds of a Feather actresses Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph. Since his Xtra Factor days, Richardson has built a diverse career spanning television presenting, comedy tours, radio, and podcasts, including appearances on Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Mastermind.
