Former The Apprentice star Luisa Zissman has been soaking up the sun in the Maldives, sharing a comical moment with her mother, before embarking on a major life change. The 38-year-old businesswoman is in the final stages of relocating her family from the United Kingdom to Dubai, citing the British weather and crime rates as key reasons for the move.
A Hilarious Holiday Moment
During her luxurious break, Luisa posted a video featuring her mother, Christina, whom she affectionately calls Hilda. The amusing clip revealed that a fellow holidaymaker had complimented Hilda on her stunning pink swimsuit, comparing it to a mermaid's outfit and asking for the brand. Luisa's mother, however, claimed she 'couldn't remember' where it was from. The truth, as Luisa shared with her followers, was that Hilda was too embarrassed to admit the fashionable piece was from the budget online retailer Shein.
Preparing for a New Chapter in Dubai
This tropical respite comes amidst what Luisa describes as a 'manic' period organising the international move. The relocation involves her husband, Irish millionaire Andrew Collins, who has already moved, and two of her three children. Her eldest daughter, 15-year-old Dixie, will remain at her UK boarding school to complete her education. The complex process includes moving five pet horses and two nannies, who are also making the trip to the UAE. The family's substantial ten-bedroom UK home, set on 2.8 acres and maintained by 15 staff, is being left behind for their new life in the Middle East.
Life, Podcasts, and Celebrity Neighbours
Luisa has been keen to reassure fans that her popular podcast, LuAnna, which she co-hosts with Anna Williamson, will continue despite the move. She has flights booked to return to the UK for recordings until at least September and plans to keep travelling back regularly. The businesswoman has been vocal about the benefits of the move, stating that 'everything is better' in Dubai, from finances to lifestyle. She also noted that she and former footballer Rio Ferdinand's wife, Kate, will be neighbours, as the Ferdinands made a similar move earlier this year.
After her week in the Maldives, Luisa and her family will head directly to their new home in Dubai, closing one chapter and eagerly beginning the next.
