Lorna Luxe Returns to Social Media After Husband John's Funeral

Influencer Lorna Luxe made her emotional return to social media on Wednesday, following the funeral of her husband John, who passed away from cancer last month. The businessman, who was 21 years older than Lorna, had been battling stage four adrenal cancer since his diagnosis in April 2023. Lorna announced his death on February 12, marking the end of their 16-year marriage.

Emotional Update to Followers

After taking a break from her online presence, Lorna posted a heartfelt update to her Instagram Story, addressing her legion of fans. In the clip, she expressed her gratitude for the support she has received and shared details about the funeral, which took place on Tuesday.

"I haven't spoken to you in so long," she began. "I have been looking through my messages and I keep getting this consistent message from people saying they miss me and hope I'm alright. And I thought I miss you guys too - so here I am."

She described the funeral as "beautiful", noting that many people attended, including those she hadn't seen in a long time. "I knew we'd have a good turn out because people loved John," she said. The service was a humanist celebration, followed by a buffet featuring John's favourite foods and wines.

Focus on Charity Sale

Lorna revealed that she will now focus on organising a charity sale, which had been postponed due to John's declining health. The event, originally scheduled for just five days before his death, aims to raise funds for Maggie's cancer charity and The Meath Epilepsy Charity.

"For the next week I am going to focus on getting this charity sale happening," she explained. "It will be a lovely way to remember him. So that is what I will be working on and I think that is what I need at the minute. I need to be busy and doing things."

She also plans to spend time with friends and avoid staying at home too much, emphasising her appreciation for the messages of support from her followers.

Heartbreaking Tribute and Cancer Battle

When announcing John's death, Lorna shared a moving tribute, calling him "my beautiful, brave John". She recounted their final conversation, where he described feeling "rough but in love", highlighting his selflessness even in difficult times.

The couple had kept their followers updated throughout John's treatment, including a period of remission in November 2023. However, the cancer returned tragically in May 2024, spreading to his brain. Before Christmas, John was hospitalised with organ failure and sepsis, with Lorna being told to "prepare for the worst" in December 2025. Despite this, he recovered enough to return home for the holidays.

In an interview with Fabulous magazine, Lorna reflected on the uncertainty of their situation. "It's been quite scary because we don't know how long we've got... We know we're on a timeline," she said. The couple focused on making the most of their time together, taking each day as it comes and avoiding discussions about funerals or long-term plans.

Lorna's return to social media marks a poignant step forward as she honours John's memory through charity work and the support of her community.
