Actress Lily James has given her social media followers a sun-drenched glimpse of her Australian holiday, sharing a series of idyllic snaps from a luxurious island retreat. The 36-year-old star is taking a well-earned break from her busy filming schedule to enjoy the Southern Hemisphere summer.
Island Paradise Escape
Posting from the exclusive Bedarra Island Resort in Queensland, James showcased her incredible figure in a variety of swimwear. The gallery included a striking black bikini, a pink swimsuit, and a black and white gingham two-piece. In one playful shot, the Pam & Tommy actress was captured jumping from a rope swing into the crystal-clear water.
As the day turned to evening, James covered up in a semi-sheer mini dress to watch the picturesque sunset. She later changed into a plunging white outfit for dinner. Clearly relishing the warm weather, she captioned one post: 'Winter I am not ready for you just yet.' In another, dedicated to an early start, she simply wrote: 'Up with the sun.'
Fans React and Future Projects
Her followers were quick to praise the wholesome posts, with comments like 'Australia suits you' and 'I love how you live life.' James herself seemed utterly content, telling her audience she has 'never been better'.
The break comes ahead of a major return to the big screen. Lily James will star in a reboot of the 1993 thriller Cliffhanger, alongside Pierce Brosnan. The film, shooting in Austria, Italy, and Germany, follows a father-daughter duo, Ray (Brosnan) and Naomi (James), whose mountain chalet getaway turns into a fight for survival against kidnappers.
First-look images show James hanging from a rock face in a direct homage to the original film. The cast also includes Nell Tiger Free and Franz Rogowski.
More Films on the Horizon
In addition to Cliffhanger, James is set to appear in Swiped, a film based on the life of Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd. Earlier this year, she was spotted in New York with her co-star Pierson Fodé, sparking friendly rumours as they enjoyed strolls in Central Park.
For now, however, the British actress is firmly in holiday mode, making the most of the Australian coastline before returning to work and the impending London winter.
