British actress Lily James is making the most of a jet-setting January, currently enjoying a sun-drenched escape to Mexico after wrapping up work on a new project in Australia last month.
Holiday Style in Tulum
The 36-year-old star offered fans a glimpse into her luxury getaway via Instagram on Wednesday. She revealed she is staying at the exclusive Be Tulum Hotel and shared a series of stylish holiday moments.
In one snap posted to her Story, Lily modelled a chic beach look, wearing a bikini topped with a light grey linen co-ord set and accessorising with stylish sunglasses. She later posted videos of herself partying the night away at a beach club, dancing to the band Parallelle in a sexy backless white silk dress.
From Australian Shores to Global Adventures
This Mexican trip follows a busy December for the actress, which she spent in Australia working on an undisclosed new project. While there, she frequently posted stunning images from Queensland, wowing followers in a leopard print bikini and an off-white swimsuit.
Reflecting on her time Down Under as the new year began, Lily declared herself "grateful and excited for the new year". She wrote on Instagram: "I spent the last part of 2025 on the beach, made a film and watched the sun rise with very special people. I feel very grateful and excited for a new year."
The actress also shared that she stayed active during her Australian stint with hardcore Pilates classes, alongside learning scripts and socialising with friends.
Looking Ahead: A Thrilling Reboot
Professionally, Lily James is set to return to the big screen next year in a high-profile reboot of the 1993 thriller 'Cliffhanger'. The film, shot in Austria, Italy, and Germany, will see her star alongside Pierce Brosnan.
James will play Naomi, the daughter of Brosnan's character Ray. The official synopsis reveals their characters run a mountain chalet in the Dolomites and become targets for kidnappers during a trip with a billionaire's son. Naomi, "still haunted by a past climbing accident", must escape and fight for her family's survival.
The supporting cast includes Nell Tiger Free, Franz Rogowski, and Assaad Bouab. The first shots from the film mimic the original, showing Lily's character hanging from a rock face.
