Friends Fear TOWIE's Lauren Goodger Could Spiral Over OnlyFans 'Addiction'

Friends of former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger have expressed concern that her continued involvement with the adult subscription site OnlyFans could lead her back into a 'dark place'. The 39-year-old, who was one of the first millionaires from the reality show, recently revealed she feels forced to post racy content to pay her bills.

Speaking on Olivia Attwood: Getting Filthy Rich, Goodger admitted she was once offered £150,000 to spend the night with a subscriber, describing it as 'hard to turn down' but insisting she could not go through with it. She typically charges £6,500 for custom content.

A source told new magazine: 'Friends really don't think this is the right path for Lauren to go down, given how hard the last few years have been. She already has low self-esteem, and they worry that just a few negative comments could put Lauren back into a dark place. But at the moment she feels like this is the only option for her – she doesn't have anyone else to support her financially. It's like an addiction.'

Goodger has endured several personal tragedies, including the death of her newborn daughter Lorena in July 2022 and the death of her ex-partner Jake McLean days earlier. She has spoken about feeling 'abandoned' and suffering from PTSD. She joined OnlyFans in 2020 after work dried up during the Covid lockdown, saying she was 'backed into a corner' with bills to pay.

Despite a friend begging her to quit the platform, Goodger insists she needs the income to support herself and her four-year-old daughter Larose. 'Without OnlyFans I wouldn't be able to pay all my bills,' she said. 'I'm not doing it so I can buy a Chanel handbag. I need the money.' She previously earned £30,000 a month from the site but says earnings have dropped since becoming a mother.
