The high-profile marriage of Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman and country music star Keith Urban has officially been dissolved, with their divorce finalised just over three months after Kidman initiated proceedings.
Financial and Custody Agreement Reached
The settlement, agreed in a Nashville court, sees the former couple dividing a vast property empire valued at approximately $282 million (around £210 million). Reports indicate that their real estate assets, which they largely co-owned, will be split to satisfy both parties, with each retaining properties already in their individual names.
Their shared portfolio includes a luxury Manhattan duplex, a Beverly Hills home, a Nashville mansion, and an estate in Australia's Southern Highlands. Separately, Kidman owns a three-bedroom apartment in Sydney's Milsons Point, while Urban retains a 20-room Nashville mansion purchased in 2008.
In terms of their children, Nicole Kidman will have primary custody of their two daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 15. The agreed parenting plan grants Kidman the children for 306 days of the year, with Urban having them for 59 days, equating to every other weekend. No monthly child support or spousal support will be paid by either party.
The Path to Separation
The couple's decision to part ways after 19 years of marriage was first reported in September 2025. Sources at the time suggested that demanding careers and a resulting lack of intimacy had caused them to drift apart. "Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming or he is on tour," an insider claimed.
Public signs of strain emerged in the months leading to the split. The pair were not seen together publicly from the start of 2025, and in July, Urban abruptly ended a radio interview on Australia's Mix 102.3 when hosts asked him about Kidman's romantic scenes with younger co-stars like Zac Efron, disconnecting from the Zoom call.
Co-Parenting Commitments
Court documents reveal a parenting plan agreed by both in early September, which includes a commitment not to speak ill of one another or their former in-laws. They also pledged to "encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families," aiming for an amicable co-parenting relationship despite the divorce.
The swift resolution of their financial and custody arrangements marks the formal end of one of entertainment's most enduring partnerships, drawing a line under a union that began in 2006.
