Kerry Katona and Paolo Margaglione Open Up About Marriage and Future Plans

Kerry Katona and her partner Paolo Margaglione have shared intimate details about their relationship, including definitive wedding plans and their vision for the future, in an exclusive interview conducted at their Cheshire home. The couple, who met on the E4 dating show Celebs Go Dating ten months ago, appear more committed than ever.

"We Will 100 Per Cent Get Married"

Kerry, 45, confirmed without hesitation that marriage is definitely in their future. "We will 100 per cent get married," she stated firmly. However, both emphasized there's no rush to the altar. Paolo, 34, explained their thoughtful approach: "I'm not just doing it for the sake of doing it. We're trying to build something really special together, so I want it to be the right moment."

The couple shared a humorous anecdote from Kerry's recent hospital stay, where she was diagnosed with colitis. Under the influence of pain medication, Kerry sent Paolo a surprising message asking how he would react if she proposed. "She was on gas and air and morphine in the hospital and I got a message off her saying, 'What would you do if I proposed to you?'" Paolo recalled with amusement.

Kerry quickly clarified her traditional stance: "I would never in a million years bend a knee down to a man and ask him to marry me." Paolo completely agreed, stating firmly: "I couldn't accept it. It's my duty to do that."

Building a Blended Family

Both Kerry and Paolo are parents who prioritize their children above all else. Kerry has five children ranging from 11 to 24 years old, while Paolo has two daughters aged two and four. Blending their families has been a conscious effort that both approach with dedication.

"Blending families can be challenging," Paolo acknowledged. "You've got a lot to think about. The kids have their routine with Kerry and mine have their routine with me. But we're in a really nice place with the kids."

Kerry revealed that Paolo's daughters "idolise" her children, and all the children have developed strong bonds. She even decorated a bedroom for Paolo's daughters in their home despite medical advice to rest following recent breast surgery.

The Foundation of Their Relationship

The couple credits their individual therapy work for creating a strong foundation. Kerry has been open about seeking mental health support, while Paolo has undergone Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. "We've really worked on ourselves," Kerry explained. "We've both had a lot of therapy. I think we're really good at communicating in that respect."

Their relationship differs from Kerry's previous ones in significant ways. "He doesn't need anything from me," she said of Paolo. "He's successful in his own right. All he wants from me is my love and respect." Contrary to some reports, Paolo is not a personal trainer but runs two family businesses: Ecobag, which produces bags from recycled materials, and Macromax, which manufactures cleaning products.

Future Plans and Possibilities

The couple has several exciting plans for their future together:

  • Overseas Relocation: They intend to move abroad with their children within the next year. "Hopefully somewhere hot and sunny," Paolo said. "The idea is, at some point, to potentially move away from the UK."
  • Possible Children: They've discussed adding to their family, though Paolo expressed concern about Kerry's age and health. "I'd much rather have her for life than create a life," he said thoughtfully.
  • Financial Equality: Kerry has taken the unprecedented step of setting up a joint bank account and sharing expenses equally with Paolo. "I just want Kerry to feel that she's got an equal," Paolo explained.

Kerry continues her OnlyFans career with Paolo's full support, and she even joked about potentially double-barrelling her surname after marriage, though both laughed about how "Kerry Katona-Margaglione" would be quite a mouthful.

Despite some nervousness about publicly discussing their relationship given her past romantic disappointments, Kerry insists this connection is different. "I don't think I've ever been in love before - ever," she revealed. "Like truly, truly ever been in love."

As they look toward their future together, Kerry summed up her feelings simply: "This is forever and ever and ever for me."
