Kelsey Grammer and Wife Kayte Walsh Enjoy Rare Date Night in Beverly Hills
Kelsey Grammer and his wife Kayte Walsh were spotted enjoying a rare date night at their favourite Beverly Hills restaurant, E Baldi, on Thursday evening. The couple, who have been married since 2011, looked visibly happy as they exited the eatery with takeaway boxes in hand.
A Casual Evening Out
The 71-year-old Frasier star was dressed in a deep green button-up shirt-jacket layered over a black T-shirt, paired with jeans and black and white sneakers. Walsh, 47, wore a long, flowy, patterned brown and white dress, with her light brown hair falling straight around her face. She carried a bag along with three pizza boxes as they left the restaurant.
This outing marks a special moment for the couple, coming just five months after they welcomed their fourth child together. Interestingly, they also dined at E Baldi on Valentine's Day, making it a cherished spot for their romantic evenings.
Reflecting on Fatherhood
Grammer and Walsh welcomed their son Christopher in October, making Grammer a father for the eighth time. In December, the actor shared his joy about becoming a dad again at 70, calling it a "blessing". He told TMZ, "It's wonderful, what a blessing it is to have a small child in my life." At the Giving a Smile Foundation Gala, he gushed, "I turned tonight to look at my four kids and my beautiful wife and it does not get better than this."
Grammer admitted that fatherhood now is much different from when he first became a dad to his daughter Spencer, 42, in 1983 during his first marriage to Doreen Alderman. "When you're a young man, you try to carve out your niche and take care of the family and be the man you want to be, but that can be pretty time consuming," he explained.
A New Chapter with Christopher
Speaking to E! News about their youngest child, Grammer praised Walsh, saying, "It's kind of amazing. He's a really easy kid, but my wife Kayte has been exemplary. The first couple kids we were still sort of improving a little bit, but we were good at it." He added, "He's sleeping through the night. He is her little charge right now and he's a wonderful kid. He was smiling at me this morning and we were having a little chat. It's great to have this new life in our life."
In addition to Christopher, Grammer and Walsh share three other children: Faith, 13, Gabriel, 11, and James, nine. The couple met in 2009 on a flight from London to Los Angeles, where Walsh was working as a flight attendant at the time.
Grammer's Larger Family
Grammer's family extends beyond his marriage to Walsh. He is also father to:
- Greer, 34, with makeup artist Barrie Buckner.
- Mason, 24, and Jude, 21, with his ex-wife Camille Grammer.
Reflecting on his parenting journey, Grammer stated, "I've got older kids and I still reflect on that. I think, 'Well maybe I could've done that all better. I wish I could've done this a little better. I wish we were closer.' It's been a great life with me and my families and the chances I've had with the kids." He feels this new chapter offers another chance to get fatherhood right, embracing the joy and challenges it brings.
