Katy Perry Shares Holiday Snaps with Justin Trudeau, Confirming Romance
Katy Perry confirms romance with Justin Trudeau in holiday post

Pop superstar Katy Perry has seemingly confirmed the serious nature of her relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau by sharing intimate photographs from their recent holiday season together.

Holiday Affection and Family Moments

In a festive Instagram post titled 'Holidaze', the 41-year-old singer posted a carousel of images showing how she spent the past few weeks. The most telling snapshot shows Perry leaning in to kiss her 54-year-old boyfriend on the cheek as he smiles at the camera, his arm wrapped around her waist. This marks her most public display of affection for Trudeau since her quiet split from long-term partner Orlando Bloom.

The collection offered a glimpse into a cosy family Christmas. Perry shared images of a dinner table set with handwritten place cards, including settings for her daughter, Daisy Dove, and Trudeau's 14-year-old son, Flynn, whom he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. The singer also tagged her ex, Orlando Bloom, in a sweet outdoor family photo where the former couple are bundled up with their five-year-old daughter.

A Whirlwind Romance and Public Debut

Perry's holiday update comes months after romance rumours with Trudeau first sparked in the summer, following her separation from Bloom after nearly a decade together. The pair made their official public debut as a couple in September, stepping out hand-in-hand for a romantic night in Paris.

Trudeau himself fuelled speculation earlier by reposting a photo of the couple with former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife during a festive gathering in Japan. A source told People magazine that despite Perry's demanding tour schedule, the pair had been 'making plans for the holidays'.

'Without exaggeration, this year has been a whirlwind for her,' the insider said. 'She hasn't even had time to really think about her life after the tour.'

Focus on Family and Newfound Happiness

Despite the excitement of her new relationship, the source emphasised that Perry's primary focus remains on being a mother to Daisy. 'She's a single mom now and a lot of that is going to come into focus next year,' they added.

Nevertheless, friends say the romance with Trudeau has been a joyful surprise. 'Justin keeps making a big effort to see her and she's excited about it,' the source shared. 'She's having a lot of fun with him. It's exactly what she needs right now.'

On Trudeau's side, the relationship is said to have brought a sense of calm after his 2023 split from ex-wife Sophie Grégoire. 'He is a much happier person now. Stresses are greatly diminished,' the source noted. 'They laugh a lot, talk about everything, and genuinely enjoy each other's company.'

Perry and Bloom, who began dating in 2016 and welcomed Daisy in August 2020, announced their separation in June. Representatives stated they were 'shifting their relationship' to focus on co-parenting with 'love, stability, and mutual respect.' Bloom later commented on the split in September, saying, 'We're great. We're going to be great. It's nothing but love.'
