According to a report in the Herald Sun, the 44-year-old actor, best known for his role in the US series House of Lies and as Kano in Mortal Kombat, recently proposed to Hart. Lawson, a former Home and Away star, has a reputation for being publicity-shy, and the couple has not shared any details of their relationship or the engagement on social media.
Sharyn Hart, a mother-of-one, is a talent manager whose recent role as a guest liaison on Network Ten's The Project ended when the show was axed in June this year. She has a background in television production, having also worked on the network's reality hit I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.

Hart was previously linked to AFL legend Jimmy Bartel in 2019, following his split from his wife Nadia. 'Now, leading men are The Rock and Jason Statham and Chris Hemsworth, who is like a genetic freak in a way,' Lawson said. 'He is so good looking it is just crazy. There are these people who are so attractive that the bar is so high now I don't even want to play the game. I will leave that to the beautiful people.' He added that as he gets older, he actively avoids roles that rely primarily on looks, as this no longer brings him happiness.
