A BBC investigation has revealed that women in the UK, primarily from BAME backgrounds, have suffered life-changing complications after travelling to Turkey for cosmetic surgery arranged by Clinichub. The company received positive reviews from a social media influencer in exchange for free procedures.
YouTuber Renee Donaldson, who has 159,000 subscribers, has apologised to her followers for promoting Clinichub without disclosing she was paid. She ended the relationship after her own surgery was 'botched', leaving her with lumps on her thighs.
Another woman told the BBC that part of her breast tissue died following a botched reduction surgery. The BBC contacted Clinichub's director, Ibrahim Kuzu, and the surgeons involved but received no response.
