Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor has given fans a glimpse into her happy marriage with husband Tim, sharing a series of snaps from their recent trip to Iceland. The actress, who has played Sally Webster on the ITV soap since 1986, posted the photos on Instagram, captioning them: “Well that was an adventure. What a wonderful, beautiful country Iceland is.”
The post was met with an outpouring of support from her co-stars, including Jane Danson, who commented: “Pretty special I really want to go again. Glad you had a fab time Sal.” Sally Ann Matthews added: “Oh wowzers,” while Jude Riordan wrote: “I’m going next week!”
Off-screen, Sally has been married to writer and director Tim since 1995. The couple have three children: Phoebe, Samuel and Hattie. Tim, a successful screenwriter who has worked on Emmerdale, was diagnosed with cancer in 2023 but, like Sally, made a full recovery. The experience has encouraged them to embrace life and tick off items from their bucket list.
Last year, Sally told The Mirror: “Going through something like that makes you want to embrace life all the more. We’d love to do more travelling. We’re trying really hard to just do lots of lovely things while we can. You just don’t know what’s round the corner, do you? That’s why we’ve decided we should do a couple of our bucket list things.”
In addition to their Iceland adventure, the couple recently enjoyed a dream holiday to Japan. Sally noted that they are both in their 60s and feel now is the time to pursue these experiences, rather than putting them off. Coronation Street continues to air Monday to Friday at 8.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
