A dramatic new twist is set to shake up the I'm A Celebrity camp as incoming contestants Vogue Williams and Tom Read-Wilson will enjoy luxury accommodation while their fellow celebrities endure basic jungle conditions.
The Leader's Lodge Luxury
Instead of facing the standard hardships, presenter Vogue Williams and Celebs Go Dating star Tom Read-Wilson will reside in a specially constructed 'Leader's Lodge' when they join the camp in Thursday's episode. The treehouse-style accommodation features comfortable beds, a private toilet, and commanding views overlooking the entire camp, creating what insiders describe as a 'psychological experiment' that could seriously inflame existing campmates.
A show source revealed to The Mirror: 'The treehouse is a psychological experiment. They will be looking down on their subjects... it's going to inflame. The two of them will arrive with a bang, and will be controlling everything that the camp do.'
Power and Control Dynamics
Williams and Read-Wilson won't just be enjoying luxury comforts—they'll wield significant power over their fellow contestants. The newcomers will control campmates' daily lives, determining what chores they perform and what activities they undertake.
The established campmates, including Kelly Brook, Ruby Wax, and Martin Kemp, must compete to earn badges by impressing the new 'chief explorers.' An insider described the upcoming dynamic as 'brutal', suggesting tensions will run high when celebrities accustomed to jungle deprivations see their new colleagues living in relative luxury.
Vogue's Personal Motivation
Speaking ahead of her jungle entrance, Vogue Williams admitted she joined the show seeking a 'jolt' after becoming stuck in her ways since turning 40 in October. The presenter confessed to being 'too comfortable in life', noting she typically sleeps with four pillows and prefers everything arranged a certain way.
'I think you have to push yourself in your comfort zone,' Williams explained. 'Particularly when I turned 40, like I'm just getting stuck in my ways a little bit, and I like things a certain way. I mean, I like to walk around in the park a certain way and everything. I was like, I just want to just be jolted back out of my comfort zone.'
The Mail revealed Williams was teased as a 'late entry' contestant during Wednesday's episode after arriving in Australia on Monday. She enters the jungle on Thursday alongside Tom Read-Wilson, who is 39.
Williams also expressed concerns about missing her husband, Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, and their three children during her two-week stint. Coincidentally, Matthews was due to join I'm A Celebrity in 2015 but withdrew after admitting to steroid use.
Viewers will need to tune into Thursday's episode to witness the camp's reaction to the luxury lodge and the new power dynamic that threatens to disrupt the established jungle hierarchy.
