A reality TV star has claimed she was told to cover up an unexpected body part while relaxing in a Virgin Australia Lounge ahead of a flight this week.
Incident at the Lounge
FBoy Island contestant Sophie Blackley shared a clip to social media on Monday which captured her posing in an eye-catching burgundy leotard featuring a teardrop-shaped cut-out design that exposed her back. A frustrated Sophie claimed she was asked to 'cover up' the revealing outfit while in the lounge, despite insisting nothing inappropriate was on show.
'Virgin Australia Lounge manager just asked me to cover my BACK??? Is she from another planet?' Sophie sniped.
Virgin Australia's Dress Code
According to Virgin Lounge's online Terms and Conditions, 'Smart casual dress standards apply at all times. Virgin Australia reserves the right to deny entry to the Lounge to any person who does not meet appropriate dress standards, in its absolute discretion.' Daily Mail has contacted Virgin Australia for comment.
Sophie's Rise to Fame
Sophie rose to fame in 2023 on season one of the Binge reality TV dating series FBoy Island Australia, hosted by Abbie Chatfield. In June 2023, Sophie and her TV beau Joshy Allen confirmed they had split, just hours after the dating show's finale aired. Sophie made a decision to leave the show and pursue a relationship with fboy Joshy during the finale. However, the pair confirmed the following day that they were no longer dating but remain 'really good friends'.
'[It was hard] jumping into something after such a short time, especially as we live interstate,' Sophie told news.com.au. Joshy added: 'We're still really good friends and we still chat. We would rather just respect each other, be friends and just go from there.'
The Show's Format
Sophie was one of the three women tasked with gauging which of the potential suitors was genuine and which was a 'fboy' in her pursuit of love on the Binge show. Brunette beauty Molly O'Halloran made the right call in choosing genuine contestant Nick Brown, and Ziara Rae Freeny found love with hunky Izaya Leota. By correctly choosing a genuine guy over a fboy, the women not only found love but also walked away with $50,000 in prize money to share with their new partner. Unfortunately, Sophie chose fboy Joshy, which means she did not find love and he was awarded the entire share of their prize money. However, in a shock twist, Joshy opted to share the winnings with Sophie before disappearing from her life.
