Diddy's Twin Daughters Share Heartbreaking Tribute to Late Mother Kim Porter
Diddy's Daughters Pay Tribute to Late Mother Kim Porter

The twin daughters of music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs have shared a poignant tribute to their late mother, Kim Porter, on what would have been her birthday. Jessie and D'Lila Combs, both 18, posted a heartfelt throwback photograph to their joint Instagram account, expressing their enduring love and loss.

A Bittersweet Birthday Tribute

In the touching image, the young twins are seen as children, smiling alongside their mother while wearing matching dresses. The accompanying caption read: 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY❤️ we love u sooooooo much. We miss you so freaking much and we know you are always walking by our sides.' Kim Porter was just 47 years old when she tragically died from lobar pneumonia in 2018.

Porter shared a long and tumultuous on-off romance with Diddy between 1994 and 2007. Together, they had three children: son Christian, now 26, and the twin girls. Diddy was among the hundreds of mourners at her funeral.

Surrogate Support from Kimora Lee Simmons

The emotional post comes as family friend Kimora Lee Simmons recently opened up about her role in the twins' lives. Speaking on the Today With Jenna & Friends show, the 50-year-old television personality revealed she acts as a 'surrogate mom' to Jessie and D'Lila following their mother's passing.

'One of my friends who passed away, Kim Porter, I have all of her kids,' Simmons stated. 'Even though some of them are adults, but some of them are 18, twins.' When asked if the twins come to her, she confirmed, 'Yeah, they're with me. I just got off the phone with them. I'm a lot of people's mom.'

Simmons, a mother of five, emphasised the importance of a support network, saying, 'It takes a village, so I have godmoms and aunties and friends... It's really a village of women.'

Context of Diddy's Legal Troubles

This family moment unfolds against the backdrop of their father's significant legal issues. Diddy, 56, was sentenced to more than four years in prison on October 30 on charges related to prostitution, and was subsequently moved to Fort Dix federal prison.

The music mogul, who once dominated the entertainment industry, had been facing serious sex trafficking allegations, which he vehemently denied. His legal team argued that the encounters in question were consensual. Although surveillance footage showing him assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura was presented in court, the defence maintained this did not equate to sex trafficking. Jurors ultimately acquitted him of the more severe charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

This period has also seen the release of the documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning, produced by 50 Cent, which examines the allegations against Diddy alongside the deaths of rappers Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G.
