Reality TV star David Potts has stunned fans by revealing a dramatic 2.5 stone weight loss, achieved during the challenging festive period while he was performing in pantomime. The Celebrity Big Brother champion, 32, took to Instagram to share impressive before-and-after photos, declaring himself "snatched" after months of dedicated effort.
The Festive Fitness Transformation
David Potts, best known for ITV's Ibiza Weekender and his recent Celebrity Big Brother victory, embarked on his health kick after winning the reality show and launching his podcast. He managed to stick to his goals throughout December and early January, a time when many abandon their fitness resolutions.
In his social media post, the star expressed his pride, writing: "WOW! I’m so bloody happy with my results. Being on a weight loss journey over Christmas is hard enough especially when you throw panto in the mix. But I’m so proud of myself for putting in the hard work. And it’s paying off."
He credited his success to the "old fashioned way" of consistent hard work, aided by personal trainer @floydtransform and the facilities at @nuffieldhealth_bolton. With characteristic humour, Potts added that he has "just another 7.5 stone to go haha," suggesting his journey is ongoing.
Celebrity Support and Future Screen Plans
The announcement prompted a flood of support from his famous friends in the comments. Comedian Alan Carr cheered him on with "You’ve got this!!!", while his former Ibiza Weekender co-star Ellie Young said she was "so proud." Danny Beard, winner of Ru Paul's Drag Race UK, also offered enthusiastic congratulations.
While Potts is a veteran of reality TV, having appeared on Celebs Go Dating, Celebs on the Farm, and Celebrity Karaoke Club, he has ruled out one major show. He stated he would be the "worst person" for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, citing a fear of everything and a dislike of rice, joking he'd request a jacket potato instead.
However, he is open to a reboot of the show that made him famous. "I would absolutely love it [Ibiza Weekender] to come back," he said, noting the show's ten-year anniversary this September, though he admitted his ability to handle hangovers has diminished since his early twenties.
What's Next for the TV Personality?
Looking ahead, David Potts hinted at multiple television projects in the pipeline. He also revealed plans for the next series of his podcast, The David Potts Show, which will not be solo this time. "I can't say too much but you'll definitely know who they are and they're equally as high energy as me, so it's going to be carnage," he teased.
His remarkable weight loss, achieved against the odds of mince pies and panto schedules, showcases his determination and sets a vibrant tone for his ventures in 2026.
