David Haye has continued to taunt Adam Thomas on social media after the pair clashed while appearing on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! The former heavyweight boxer shared a painting of himself holding up a middle finger, accompanied by an audio clip of Adam Thomas speaking.
The Argument in the Jungle
In the clip, Adam could be heard saying to David: "I've got no issues David, you're my issue right now." The words came after a heated argument about Adam's lack of involvement in camp challenges. The Emmerdale actor, 37, suffers from psoriatic arthritis, an autoimmune illness diagnosed in 2023. During his time in the jungle, he was seen feeling unwell on screen, but Haye criticised him for not doing trials, insisting he was lazy rather than genuinely ill.
In their final conversations before David left camp, he claimed Adam lacked the "mental strength" to continue in a group trial and questioned if he had "some issues" outside of camp. Adam bit back, replying: "I've got no issues David, you're my issue right now." At another point, he told David: "Shut up man. All day every day for two days straight, just chill."
Reactions and Fallout
David said he found their chats "funny," but the rest of camp seemed tired of the conflict. Adam later shared on social media that the arguments "broke him." In camp, Adam said: "I'm glad you love it, because I don't. Because I like you bro and I don't understand why you keep coming for me 24/7." David did apologise, but Adam replied: "You're not bro."
After leaving camp, David commented on their relationship: "No bad blood from my side. Look, I've been immersed in tough boxing gyms since I was ten years old. Literally fighting daily, much bigger men than myself, pushing myself to the limits, physically and mentally. I won the world heavyweight championship against a seven-foot Russian giant. So when a grown man tells me that a fun TV show - where we're being paid handsomely every single day - is the hardest thing he's ever been through, it's just not a frequency I recognise. I was actually on my best behaviour in there, honestly. I've spoken to Adam, I've said my piece, and some of what's still to air will speak for itself. I'll leave it there."
Adam's Response
After the episode aired, Adam shared on social media that his arguments with David "broke" him: "My time in I'm a Celebrity South Africa was one of the toughest things I've ever been through, physically, mentally, and emotionally." He added: "Since coming out, I've taken time to process everything, and I'm in a much better place now. I let go of the anger, had the conversations I needed to have, and chose peace. What I'm most proud of, is at times like this I wanted to walk, I wanted to quit but I didn't. Even when I wanted to walk away, even when it felt like too much, I never give up! and that means everything to me. He broke me in there, he pushed me to my limits, and I've told David this and he's apologised and that's that! I've moved on now, am not one to hold a grudge. But thank you for all your lovely messages and all the kind words. We all face people and situations that try to break us, but sometimes those moments are what rebuild you stronger than ever. Be kind."
Continuing Drama
In recent episodes, Adam has gone on to have an explosive row with fellow camper Jimmy Bullard. Fans have also called out Adam's continued presence in the jungle, questioning why he was given the chance to be saved rather than sent home.
