Cindy Crawford's Festive Home Decor and Heartfelt Holiday Philosophy
Cindy Crawford Shares Christmas Decor and Family Traditions

Supermodel Cindy Crawford has embraced the festive spirit, sharing a glimpse of her elaborately decorated home as the holiday season gets underway. The 59-year-old star posted a series of images to Instagram, revealing a house filled with Christmas trees, garlands, and bright ornaments, all while striking a casual pose in a cosy red sweater and jeans.

A Home Filled with Festive Cheer

In her recent social media post, Crawford was seen immersing herself in the cheerful tradition of holiday decorating. At least three beautifully adorned Christmas trees were visible, alongside festive garlands with bows looped over banisters and arranged over doorways. The Meaningful Beauty founder captioned the photos, stating she was 'getting in the holiday spirit.'

This display of joy comes after a challenging year for the model, who revealed the sad news of her dog Widget's passing in May. She also faced the threat of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires back in January, which forced her and husband Rande Gerber to evacuate their Malibu home. Reflecting on that scare, she told followers on Instagram, 'I’m so lucky that I have a house to come home to.' She expressed heartache for those who were not as fortunate.

Evolving Family Traditions

With her children, Presley and Kaia, now adults and having flown the nest, Crawford has adapted her approach to the holidays. She told People magazine last year that the family typically goes away on vacation during the school break, but not before putting up the tree and doing 'a little decorating.'

She admits planning festivities is trickier now, with changing dietary needs and coordinating with her children's partners. 'It changes over the years because all of a sudden someone's gluten-free or whatever,' Crawford explained. This flexibility extends to the date of celebration itself, with the model adopting a relaxed attitude. 'If you end up celebrating your family Christmas on the 26th, that's okay,' she said, emphasising that being together without stress is the true meaning.

A Thoughtful Approach to Gift-Giving

For Crawford, the season is more about togetherness than lavish presents. Despite her wealth, she takes a more thoughtful and experience-based approach to gifting, particularly with her sisters, Chris and Danielle. She fears that being overly generous could create an awkward dynamic, potentially 'emasculate their husbands.'

During a podcast appearance, she revealed, 'I was more about giving experiences and then helping them if they need a down payment on a house.' She praised her sisters for always paying such help back, noting that navigating her financial position to support family is a delicate balance. Ultimately, for Cindy Crawford, the holidays are a time for gratitude, adaptation, and cherished moments with loved ones, far removed from the pressures of perfection.
