Football WAG Chloe Pink Reaches Breaking Point Over Vile Fertility Trolls
The wife of North Melbourne defender Toby Pink, Chloe Pink, has declared she's reached breaking point after being subjected to relentless online abuse questioning her ability to fall pregnant. The football WAG took to Instagram on Monday to outline the unacceptable comments she has been receiving, expressing particular distress at people actively 'liking' the cruel insults directed at her.
Unrelenting Online Abuse
In a series of emotional Instagram stories, Pink shared a snippet of the hate she's been receiving, describing it as 'relentless and exhausting.' Out of respect for Mrs. Pink, specific recent slurs have not been published, but the nature of the abuse has been clearly communicated.
'This is a snippet of hate I've received... it is relentless and exhausting,' her final Instagram story read. 'If this is you, or someone you know or even you (personally) liking these comments, you need to deeply reflect.'
Targeted Fertility Comments
Pink went on to slam those who don't believe she will be able to fall pregnant naturally, expressing particular frustration about comments linking her weight to fertility.
'I swear to god, if I get one more comment about my weight in terms of fertility, I'm going to lose my s*it, it is beyond insensitive,' she wrote. 'It is cruel, invasive and deeply hurtful. I cannot understand why so many of you are threatened by the fact my husband and I love each other.'
Pattern of Body Shaming
This recent torrent of abuse follows similar incidents in the past year. In April last year, Pink revealed the vile criticism she received about her weight and appearance after posting wedding photos on social media. The new bride wasn't expecting the barrage of cruel insults that followed her sharing these personal moments.
Among the comments at that time were remarks like 'Did he marry a fridge?' and 'AFL player by day, pig hunter by night,' with another person asking 'Did he marry an NRL prop forward?'
Previous Awards Night Abuse
The pattern continued when Pink revealed the deluge of horrible abuse she received about her appearance after North Melbourne's Best and Fairest Awards night. The shocking comments left Pink in emotional distress, and her football star husband was equally stunned by the disgusting remarks.
'He really was in shock,' she recalled. 'People say bad things about footballers, but they talk about how they play, not their appearances. We both sat there and cried. He has been really good, really supportive, and he tells me he loves me and that I'm beautiful.'
Taking Control of Comments
The comments became so vile and disgusting that they had to be deleted, and eventually, Pink turned off comments completely on her posts. She addressed the underlying issue directly, stating: 'All because I don't fit the typical 'WAG mould'. Being married to a professional athlete does not give anyone the right to comment on my body or size.'
Pink also noted that her weight is influenced by underlying health conditions, though she emphasized that 'frankly, that's no one's business, and it shouldn't matter either way.' The couple, who were married in March 2025, continue to face this unwarranted scrutiny despite their attempts to live their lives privately.
