The ongoing rift within the Beckham family has taken a poignant turn, with reports suggesting Brooklyn Beckham's grandparents were left deeply hurt after being excluded from a major family milestone.
The Secret Vow Renewal That Caused Heartbreak
According to sources, Brooklyn Beckham, 25, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 29, privately renewed their wedding vows in August 2025. The ceremony took place just three years after their original £3 million wedding at her father's £76 million Florida estate in May 2022. This time, the couple chose the Peltz family's other sprawling property in Westchester, New York.
However, the event was notably missing any members of Brooklyn's immediate family. Most significantly, his grandparents – Victoria's mother, Jackie Adams, 74, and David's mother, Sandra Beckham, 77 – were allegedly not informed. A source revealed the pair only discovered the news when photos from the intimate ceremony were shared online.
"The first Brooklyn's grandparents knew of him and Nicola renewing their wedding vows was when they saw pictures they had shared of it online," the insider told the Daily Mail. "He was raised by his grandparents... He adores them, but he didn't even tell them about this."
A Deepening Feud and Legal Action
This personal snub comes against the backdrop of a widening family feud that has reportedly been simmering for almost four years. Tensions are said to have begun around the time of Brooklyn and Nicola's wedding and intensified over the past year.
The situation escalated dramatically at the end of last summer when Brooklyn allegedly sent his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, a formal 'desist' letter. This letter reportedly instructed them to direct any future correspondence strictly through lawyers. The move left David and Victoria "utterly bemused and devastated," with limited means to contact their eldest son.
Subsequently, Brooklyn is said to have blocked his entire immediate family on social media. The final trigger for this action is claimed to be Victoria Beckham simply liking one of his cooking videos, which featured a chicken-in-beer recipe. His brother Cruz, 20, publicly commented on the situation, stating: "They (my parents) woke up blocked... so did I." Nicola Peltz has also now blocked the Beckham family online.
Grandparents Caught in the Crossfire
Despite the turmoil, it is believed Brooklyn maintains affection for his grandparents. He has reportedly had phone and text contact with both sets of grandparents over the Christmas period, while he spent the holidays with Nicola's family in the US. Last June, he also posted a rare public birthday message to his "nanny" Sandra online.
Nevertheless, Jackie and Sandra have missed several key family events involving their grandson. These include his father David's 50th birthday celebration last year and the ceremony for David's knighthood, which Brooklyn also did not attend.
The grandparents' heartbreak over the secret vow renewal underscores the personal toll of the very public family dispute. With communication now seemingly limited to legal channels, the path to reconciliation appears more challenging than ever.
