In a stunning public rupture, Brooklyn Beckham has launched a series of explosive allegations against his parents, Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham, accusing them of a sustained campaign to sabotage his marriage and manipulate their family's image.
Celebrities React to 'Utterly Tragic' Public Feud
The 26-year-old's decision to air private grievances on his Instagram story has been met with shock and sadness from public figures. Broadcaster Susanna Reid described the situation as "utterly tragic" on ITV's Good Morning Britain, adding the accusations were "so damning, it is hard to see them coming back from them."
Her co-host Kate Garraway echoed the sentiment, stating: "It isn't the brand, is it? It's the family life that breaks my heart. It's horrible." Irish TV personality Vogue Williams said the revelations left her mind "blown", while singer Lily Allen and other celebrities shared mocking social media posts about the drama.
Brooklyn's Detailed Allegations Against His Parents
Breaking years of silence, the aspiring chef and photographer detailed multiple incidents he claims have occurred since before his 2022 wedding to actress Nicola Peltz, daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz.
He alleged his mother, Victoria, "hijacked" his first dance with Nicola by dancing "inappropriately" on him, leaving him humiliated. He further claimed his wife was consistently "disrespected" and was not invited to his father's 50th birthday party.
Among the most serious accusations, Brooklyn stated his parents pressured him to sign away the rights to his name weeks before the wedding and that his mother cancelled Nicola's wedding dress at the last minute. He also recounted her calling him "evil" over seating arrangements that included their grandmothers.
"For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family," he wrote, painting a picture of a life dominated by performative social media posts and inauthentic relationships designed to preserve "Brand Beckham".
A Search for Peace and a Fractured Future
Brooklyn asserted that since he began standing up for himself, he has faced "endless attacks" orchestrated by his parents, even claiming his brothers, Cruz and Romeo, were sent to attack him online before blocking him. He declared he has no wish to reconcile with his family.
"I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life," he stated, refuting suggestions his wife is the controlling influence. He revealed the "overwhelming anxiety" he experienced has "disappeared" since stepping back, and he now wakes up "grateful for the life I chose".
He and Nicola, he concluded, seek a life free from image and manipulation: "All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family."
Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham, who also have daughter Harper, have not yet publicly responded to the allegations. Their representatives have been contacted for comment.
