The 26-year-old aspiring chef broke his long-running silence on the family's acrimonious feud on Monday, sharing a six-page statement on social media. He declared he has no wish to reconcile with his family and stated he is standing up for himself "for the first time in my life." The rift has seen Brooklyn and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, 31, snub significant family events, including David Beckham's milestone 50th birthday celebration.
One of the most scathing accusations centred on the family's values. "My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first," Brooklyn wrote. He claimed that family 'love' is decided by 'how much you post on social media', or by one's willingness to drop everything for a staged family photo opportunity, even at the expense of professional obligations.
