Bella Hadid's Close Call at Chateau Marmont Hotel
Supermodel Bella Hadid experienced a precarious moment on Saturday night as she departed the iconic Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles. The 29-year-old fashion icon, navigating the pavement in black pointed-toe heels, tripped and nearly took a spill while heading back to her car.
Thankfully, the runway star managed to steady herself by grabbing onto the back of the vehicle, preventing what could have been an embarrassing full tumble. This incident comes just weeks after Hadid was involved in a traffic stop that preceded her boyfriend Adan Banuelos' public intoxication arrest in Texas.
Fashion Forward Despite the Stumble
Hadid maintained her signature chic aesthetic throughout the evening, sporting a clingy red halter top paired with classic blue jeans. The ensemble was elevated by a vintage Yves Saint Laurent woven black leather belt, which retails for over $700 on the secondhand market.
She completed the look with an oversized brown suede jacket and those fateful black heels that nearly caused her downfall. Her eyes were shielded with a pair of orange-tinted sunglasses, while her brunette tresses were parted in the middle and cascaded down in natural waves.
Social Media Glimpses and Companions
The model later took to her Instagram Stories to share a snap from the night out, giving followers a glimpse of her evening. She was joined by fashion stylist Mimi Cuttrell and Noah Ruttenberg, a New York–based designer renowned for his work in interior and architectural design.
Following the outing, Hadid posted a more relaxed mirror selfie to her social media on Sunday, looking comfortable in a grey Alo sweatsuit. Earlier in the week, she had been spotted departing a Beverly Hills marijuana dispensary with her agent and friend Joseph Thornton-Allan, accompanied by her dog.
Health Challenges and Modeling Break
The star has been transparent about her ongoing battle with chronic neurological Lyme disease, occasionally sharing details of her treatments on social media platforms. In 2023, she took a significant five-month hiatus from modeling to focus on managing this challenging condition.
Legal Troubles with Boyfriend Adan Banuelos
Last month brought legal complications for both Hadid and her cowboy boyfriend, 36-year-old Adan Banuelos. According to TMZ reports, Hadid was pulled over in a traffic stop before Banuelos was arrested for public intoxication in Weatherford, Texas.
Banuelos, an accomplished horse trainer, was taken into custody at Parker County Jail on January 31 and released after posting a $386 bond. The arresting officer noted that Banuelos exhibited slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and the odor of alcohol on his breath when he approached police in the parking lot of Gator's Cantina restaurant.
Despite telling officers he was concerned about his girlfriend and had followed her because he cared for her, Banuelos failed a field sobriety test after admitting to consuming four beers throughout the day. The officer determined he was intoxicated and took him into custody as a precautionary measure.
Relationship Timeline and Current Status
At the time of the arrest, rumors had been circulating that Hadid and Banuelos had ended their romance, during which period she had been leading a more private life in Texas. The couple first sparked dating rumors in October 2023 when spotted together in Texas.
By February 2024, their relationship had become public on social media, with Hadid sharing affectionate snapshots of the pair wearing matching cowboy hats. Throughout their time together, Hadid has spoken openly about how grounding the relationship felt, particularly as she took time away from the spotlight.
Banuelos is an accomplished cowboy who made history by being voted into the NCHA Riders Hall of Fame at age 28, becoming the youngest person ever to receive this honor. The officer involved in the arrest noted in documentation that he released Banuelos' property and vehicle to his girlfriend, identified as Isabella Hadid, at the suspect's request.
