David Beckham has sparked fresh speculation about a rift within his famous family after sharing a 2025 year-in-review post on Instagram that notably excluded his eldest son, Brooklyn.
A Glaring Omission in the Family Album
The former England football captain, 50, posted a heartfelt look back at a momentous year which included his 50th birthday celebrations and receiving a knighthood at Windsor Castle in November. The carousel of images featured his wife, fashion designer Victoria Beckham, 51, and their children Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13.
However, Brooklyn Beckham, 26, was conspicuously absent from all the family photographs. The post's caption, in which David expressed gratitude to his "incredible wife" and "amazing children," only served to highlight the omission.
Setting the Record Straight on Social Media
The curated family photos followed reports that David and Victoria had unfollowed Brooklyn on the social media platform. Their son Cruz was quick to address these claims on his own Instagram Story, insisting the situation was not by his parents' choice.
"NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I," Cruz wrote, suggesting that Brooklyn had taken the step to block his family members.
A Year of Tension and Separate Celebrations
Rumours of discord have swirled for much of the year. A reported disagreement between Brooklyn and his brother Romeo in April was linked to Romeo's then-girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, who allegedly had a brief past connection with Brooklyn.
The tension appeared to manifest in several family events. Brooklyn and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, did not attend Victoria's Paris Fashion Week show in June, with sources citing Turnbull's expected presence as the reason. Furthermore, in August, the couple renewed their vows in a ceremony officiated by Nicola's billionaire father, Nelson Peltz. The lavish event was prominently attended by the Peltz family, but David, Victoria, and Brooklyn's siblings were not pictured.
The separation continued through the festive season. Brooklyn and Nicola spent Christmas 2025 with her parents, sharing images in matching red pyjamas, while he was absent from the Beckham family gatherings.
While Brooklyn has not directly commented on the state of his relationship with his parents, he addressed the persistent media scrutiny in a September interview with the Daily Mail. "There’s always going to be people saying negative things, but I have a very supportive wife," he said. "Me and her, we just do our thing, we just keep our heads down and work. And we’re happy."
