The bitter public feud within the Beckham family has taken a new turn, with claims made by Brooklyn Beckham about his mother Victoria's role in his wedding being directly contradicted by his wife's own bridal stylist.
The Explosive Allegations
In a dramatic Instagram statement, Brooklyn Beckham, 26, accused his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of trying to "ruin" his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz. A central claim was that his fashion designer mother, Victoria, had left Nicola "heartbroken" by cancelling the creation of her wedding dress at the "eleventh hour".
"My mum cancelled making Nicola's dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress," Brooklyn wrote, referring to their lavish £2.3 million nuptials in April 2022.
The Stylist's Contradictory Timeline
However, a resurfaced interview with Vogue magazine from April 2022 tells a different story. In it, Nicola Peltz's bridal stylist, Leslie Fremar, revealed that the Valentino gown Nicola ultimately wore was "the culmination of a year's worth of conversations" with the fashion house's creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli.
This detailed account suggests a lengthy, planned process involving two trips to Rome to visit the Valentino headquarters and two fittings in the United States. The article quoted Nicola herself, who said calling Valentino was a "no brainer" and that the designer was her "first port of call".
Nicola's Own Previous Statements
Further muddying the waters, Nicola Peltz has previously offered her own version of events, which also differs from Brooklyn's recent 'eleventh hour' narrative. Speaking to Grazia USA in 2022, she explained that only "a few days" passed between Victoria agreeing to make the dress and then informing Nicola's mother that her atelier could not manage it.
"We connected to start designing the dress, and then a few days went by and I didn’t hear anything. Victoria called my mom and said her atelier couldn’t make it," Nicola stated at the time. She has consistently denied a feud, once stating, "No family is perfect," and attributing the dress change to scheduling conflicts.
Wedding Drama and Renewed Vows
Brooklyn's incendiary post also contained other serious allegations against his mother. He claimed Victoria "hijacked" his first dance with Nicola, which had been planned to a romantic song, and then "danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone." He described feeling "humiliated" by the incident in front of 500 guests.
The fallout from these tensions appears to be ongoing. Brooklyn revealed that he and Nicola recently held a vow renewal ceremony, from which his parents were notably absent. He stated they wanted to "create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment."
This public airing of a private family dispute, now compounded by contradictory accounts from insiders, leaves more questions than answers about the true origins and extent of the rift within one of Britain's most famous families.
