Andy Whyment joined the cast of Coronation Street in 2000, quickly becoming a fan favourite as Maria Connor's brother Kirk Sutherland. Andy and Nichola have since built a family, welcoming two children: son Tom, born on October 12, 2008, and daughter Hollie, born on October 9, 2010. Andy has spoken proudly about his role as a father but confirmed they have completed their family. He revealed to OK! magazine, "There's no chance of having any more kids as I had the snip a few years ago. We said we wanted two kids, and we have been really fortunate to have a boy and a girl."
