Alec and Hilaria Baldwin were photographed enjoying a casual coffee run in New York City this week, providing a rare glimpse into their married life away from their seven children.
Therapy for 26-year age difference
The long-term couple, who have been together since 2011, have openly discussed attending therapy to help navigate their marriage with a 26-year age gap. Hilaria, 41, recently shared insights into their relationship challenges during an appearance on Caroline Stanbury's Uncut And Uncensored podcast.
During their Manhattan outing, the former yoga instructor wore a forest green sweatsuit paired with a silver quilted vest and black sneakers, while 67-year-old Alec opted for dark grey trousers and a black jacket with matching footwear.
Building their large family
The Baldwins met in 2011 and married the following year, going on to build their substantial family. They are parents to Carmen, 12, Rafael, 10, Leonardo, nine, Romeo, seven, Eduardo, five, María Lucía, four, and Ilaria, three.
Contrary to public perception, Hilaria revealed that Alec was actually "the instigator" when it came to expanding their family. "Can I tell you, he'd have more," she confessed. "I'm the one who's like, no more, thank you very much. He would have more."
Alec also shares daughter Ireland, 30, with his first wife, actress Kim Basinger, 71. Hilaria suggested that his enthusiasm for a large family stemmed from wanting to create a different experience than his previous marriage.
Navigating marriage challenges
During her podcast appearance, Hilaria didn't shy away from discussing the realities of their age difference. "I don't believe that age is just a number, at least in our situation," she admitted frankly.
She explained that Alec's additional life experience sometimes creates situations where they need professional support. "There are certain things where I have to look at him and say, he has 26 more years of experience. And sometimes that's a flex, and sometimes that means that we need to do a little therapy," Hilaria shared.
Despite the challenges, the mother-of-seven emphasised the love and beauty within their chaotic household, noting that their family planning was "very well-thought-out."
The couple's outing comes after a difficult period following the accidental fatal shooting of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in October 2021. Hilaria has remained steadfastly by her husband's side throughout the legal proceedings, which saw involuntary manslaughter charges against Alec permanently dismissed in July 2024 after prosecutors failed to turn over evidence.
