Chilling footage has captured the moment two thugs torched a car after it was used in a ram-raid in Glasgow. The car crashed into the living room window of a house on Garvel Crescent in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The property is understood to be occupied by people linked to two brothers, Andrew, 32, and James Quinn, 27, accused of plotting murder bids as part of a bloody turf war raging across Scotland. The pair are due to stand trial next year accused of targeting 17 people from the Daniel and Richardson gangs. They deny all charges against them.
Footage obtained by the Record shows two masked men, dressed in black, standing near a white Nissan Juke after it had been rammed into the property. A woman is heard screaming as loud bangs echo across the street. Headlights shine from the vehicle and lights can also be seen inside the house as one of the thugs shouts: "Give me that just now, so I can set that." He is passed something from another man before he opens the car door and shouts: "F***ing dafties, I don't give a f***." As he steps back from the vehicle, a ball of fire erupts inside, and the pair flee the scene on foot. The clip ends as the flames spread across the car.
Pictures from the scene after the attack showed the motor ablaze outside the home. More images show the mangled, burnt-out Juke with debris from inside the house strewn across the garden. The car appears to have been ploughed into the window of the living room, completely shattering a huge panel of glass.
Thursday's attack on the home in the Barlanark area is the second time the property has hit the headlines this year after a previous ram-raid in February, when a vehicle was driven into the side of the building. In May 2025, specialist cops armed with chainsaws and batons smashed their way into the home at 5 am. Officers used the tools to hack away at a full-length window before storming the semi-detached house and seizing two suspects from within. Screaming was heard as cops shouted "Get your hands up" and "Get in the corner now." Moments later, two men were led out of the house by plainclothes cops and into unmarked police cars. One of the men stuck his middle finger up at a reporter while he was marched away in handcuffs as startled neighbours stepped outside to watch the chaos unfold.
The Quinn brothers are set to go on trial in April 2027. The 17 people they are alleged to have conspired to murder include a child from the Daniel crime clan between September 1, 2024, and May 9, 2025, at locations in Bishopbriggs, Blantyre, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stepps. Further allegations against the pair include claims they identified targets and used firearms, machetes, stolen vehicles and balaclavas. Their intended targets were named at a preliminary hearing at the High Court in Glasgow in March. They include high-ranking Daniel crew members Norman Daniel, Annette Daniel and Robert Daniel, alongside James Daniel, Michelle Daniel, Margaret Daniel and Kerris Daniel. Also listed are Margaret McIntyre, Leanne McIntyre, Arran McIntyre and Lisa Gemmel. The charges go on to allege they further plotted to murder Edinburgh cocaine mob boss Mark Richardson and others linked to him, including close pals Patrick Beatson and David McMillan. Other targets named are Jessie McMillan, John Paul Newton and George McNichol.
The Quinns face the allegation that they agreed "to be part of a group known as Tamo Junto (TMJ) and recruit others to carry out crimes of violence, fire-raising and vandalism on behalf of said group in exchange for payment of money, employment or controlled drugs." They are also accused of targeting three properties in Glasgow on April 7 last year. It is also claimed they set fire to a carpet factory in Bishopbriggs linked to the Daniel clan between April 7 and 8. One week later, on April 14, it is claimed they launched further coordinated firebomb attacks at the homes of Steven 'Bonzo' Daniel, 46, and Norman 'Snudge' Daniel, 73 in Bishopbriggs. And on April 17, the brothers allegedly torched the front door of Richardson's pal David McMillan's house in the plush Pitcain Grove area of the capital. Footage from the scene showed the front door of the property go up in flames. The attack happened on the six-year anniversary of the assassination of Trainspotting T2 star Bradley Welsh, who was best pals with McMillan. The brothers are accused of firebomb attacks at the home of Richardson associate Paddy Beatson's home in Niddrie Marischal Crescent in the city and at another property on Prestonfield Crescent on the same night. The court also heard that two days later, Andrew Quinn engaged in electronic communication with another person to murder Mark Richardson in exchange for payment. He is also accused of a murder bid on Robert Daniel at Dawsholm Recycling Centre in Glasgow on September 11, 2021, and striking his head and body with a machete.
