Tom Swarbrick's wife spat at in road rage attack

LBC radio host and This Morning regular Tom Swarbrick has reported a man to the police after a shocking road rage incident in which the individual spat at his wife, Isabel.

The 38-year-old broadcaster described the event on his show, revealing the ordeal left his eight-year-old daughter terrified and 'in pieces on the floor'.

Details of the Shocking Confrontation

Speaking during Wednesday's episode, Swarbrick explained that his wife was driving their daughter through a narrow rural lane in Kent. As she stopped to allow another driver to pass, a man pulled up alongside her.

'He told her to wind her window down and just gave her a volley of expletives,' Swarbrick recounted. 'Every effing and jeffing under the sun and then hocked up phlegm and spat it into her face.'

He emphasised that there had been no prior interaction or incident before the attack, stating his wife had simply pulled over to let the other driver through.

Impact on the Family and Witness Account

The presenter expressed his belief that the assault was motivated by gender, stating, 'I don't think this would happen had I been driving the car... This happened because this was a woman on her own.'

He detailed the profound emotional impact on their young daughter, who was a passenger in the car during the attack in Tunbridge Wells.

Fortunately, a witness has since come forward. 'A woman got in touch, apparently she was in the car behind him,' Swarbrick said, adding that she had been 'incredibly helpful to the police' and praising Kent Police for their assistance.

Prior to discussing it on air, Swarbrick took to his Instagram story to address the perpetrator directly, writing: 'To the middle-aged white man who spat in my wife's face, in front of our daughter, in Turnbridge Wells this afternoon... We are going to find out who you are.'
