A millionaire banker previously arrested in connection with the infamous 'Putney Pusher' attack has been re-arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A and Class B drugs, police have confirmed.

The case dates back to May 2017, when a 33-year-old woman was pushed into the path of a double-decker bus on Putney Bridge in south-west London. The bus driver managed to swerve at the last moment, saving her life. CCTV footage showed a jogger deliberately pushing the woman into the road.
Arrest and Bail
The 44-year-old suspect was initially detained on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm. On Monday, 15 June 2026, he was re-arrested on the same charge and additionally for possession of Class A and Class B drugs. He has since been bailed pending further inquiries.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman stated: 'On Monday, 15 June, a 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm. The arrest relates to an incident on 5 May 2017, where a woman was pushed into the path of a bus on Putney Bridge in Putney. Once in police custody, he was also arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and Class B drugs. He has since been bailed pending further investigation in relation to all offences. Enquiries continue.'
