Perth Factory Fire Treated as Deliberate

A massive fire that tore through a former food processing plant in Perth is being treated as deliberate by police. Dramatic footage captured the huge inferno ripping through buildings on Crieff Road in the early hours of Friday, 17 July 2026.

Fire Reported Around Midnight

The blaze was reported to emergency services at approximately 12:05 am. Huge orange flames could be seen billowing high into the sky, with several blue-lit fire engines parked at the scene as crews worked for around five hours to bring the fire under control. Firefighters sprayed water on the blaze in a desperate bid to extinguish it.

Road Closures and Public Advice

Police closed off a number of roads, with Crieff Road reopening later on Friday morning. However, Strathtay Road at the junction with Newhouse Road remains closed. Residents have been urged to keep their windows and doors closed due to smoke and flames.
