Dogs Chase Down Would-Be Rapist in Melbourne After Failed Attack

A pack of dogs chased down a man who allegedly attempted to sexually assault two women in broad daylight in Melbourne, Australia, on July 14. The incident, captured on camera, shows the man fleeing as the dogs pursue him.

Failed Assault and Dog Intervention

The two women were walking their dogs together along Gardiners Creek in the inner-city suburb of Kooyong when an unidentified man jumped out of bushes and tried to drag one woman away. She broke free, and he then targeted her friend before the dogs intervened.

Video footage shows the man sprinting down a concrete overflow area, with eight dogs of various sizes in hot pursuit. A blue heeler, one of the larger dogs, caught up to the man, grabbing his left leg and ripping a patch of fabric from his trousers, causing him to yell and flee toward the Monash Freeway underpass.
