Lee Andrews Faces Return to Prison in 14 Days Over Unpaid Debts
Lee Andrews Given 14 Days to Pay Debts or Return to Prison

Lee Andrews faces being sent back to prison in 14 days if he fails to pay his debts, according to reports. Documents reveal the extent of his financial troubles, including a £54,000 debt for a rental car and £15,000 owed to a UAE legal firm that triggered his initial arrest warrant.

Background on Lee Andrews' Imprisonment

The 43-year-old husband of Katie Price went missing for weeks, sparking fears he had been kidnapped. It later emerged he was held in Al Awir Central Prison in Dubai on fraud allegations, though Andrews insists he was jailed for espionage. He was released and reunited with Price, but a Dubai court has now ordered him to settle his debts within two weeks or face re-incarceration.

Court Proceedings and Statements

A representative for Andrews told The Sun: "The judgement debtor appeared before the court and was questioned regarding the reason for failure to pay the debt. He stated his wife is currently outside the country and that he has been unable to access his bank account required to make payment. He requested a period of 14 days in order to settle the outstanding amount."

A source added: "Lee managed to talk himself out of jail, and said he would be able to raise the capital himself. He says Katie has been his rock, and helped him liaise with officials when he was banged-up – but that he hasn't asked her to pay off any of his debts. He insists he can do that himself."

Andrews' Claims of Espionage

Andrews continues to maintain he was imprisoned on suspicion of espionage, not fraud. In an Instagram post, he said there is "not one shred of evidence" of fraud, hitting back at claims made by his ex-fiancée Alana Percival. He described being taken at gunpoint and held in a black site, adding: "At no point have I faced anything to do with fraud allegations or criminal activities."

He credited Katie with securing his release by working with UK authorities. "Without her help involving all the UK authorities, I don't think I would have got out of that situation," he said.

Katie Price's Involvement

Price traveled to Dubai to pay a fee for her husband's release but found the sum had increased to £140,000 due to another case. Despite past failed marriages, she stated she is supporting Lee. "This is real, this is real life; this is my life. It has been a tough few weeks, but I've still stayed strong through it all," she said.

Andrews has denied taking out a £200,000 mortgage in his ex Dina Taji's name, challenging her to produce evidence. He also refuted claims from Alana Percival, saying he was with her for only 30 days and never scammed her.
