Teenager in Critical Condition Following City Centre Shooting
A 16-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital after a shooting on Sheffield's London Road. The incident occurred at approximately 5.15pm on Monday evening, sending shockwaves through the local community.
The victim, whose life has been put on pause according to police, remains in a critical condition. The attack has understandably caused significant concern and heartache for his family and those living in the area.
Cross-Border Arrests Made in Connection with Attack
In a significant development, Police Scotland officers arrested a 26-year-old man in Aberdeen on Saturday. He was detained on suspicion of attempted murder.
A 23-year-old woman was arrested alongside him on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both individuals are currently remaining in police custody as inquiries continue.
This follows the earlier arrests of two boys, aged 15 and 16, earlier this week. They were held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder but have since been released on police bail.

Detective Chief Inspector Emma Knight, the senior investigating officer, stated that the investigation is continuing at pace. She reaffirmed that the force's thoughts are with the young victim's family during this incredibly difficult time.
