Twin brothers in Texas have been arrested and charged with two separate murders, with police alleging one of the killings was an act of revenge for a traumatic armed robbery they suffered years earlier.
Two Fatal Shootings in Fort Worth
Samuel and Solomon Gbadebo, both aged 20, were taken into custody last week in connection with homicides that occurred in November 2025 in Fort Worth. The first incident took place on 15 November at an apartment complex in north Fort Worth. Security footage captured a white Nissan Altima entering the car park around 1:30 a.m. Shortly after, 19-year-old Devan Randles was seen with three other men, who authorities believe were breaking into vehicles.
A shooting subsequently erupted, and Randles was found dead from gunshot wounds. The Nissan Altima was seen fleeing the scene, but initial investigations failed to identify suspects.
The Second Attack at a Restaurant Car Park
The second murder occurred in the early hours of 30 November in the parking lot of Flips Patio Grill. Isaiah Gonzales, a 20-year-old employee of the restaurant, was leaving with his girlfriend around 2 a.m. when two men, who had been loitering, ran up to his car and fired through the windshield.
Gonzales suffered critical injuries and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Investigators found shoe impressions from Nike Air Force 1 trainers at the scene but again lacked immediate suspects.
Linking the Crimes and a Motive for Revenge
Police eventually connected the Nissan Altima from the first crime scene to the second homicide and traced the vehicle to the twins' mother. The Gbadebo brothers were also seen wearing clothing and footwear matching evidence from the scenes.
A crucial breakthrough came from a tipster, who informed detectives that Gonzales, the second victim, had robbed the twins years earlier. During that 2021 robbery, Gonzales allegedly held the brothers at gunpoint and forced them to strip naked on camera. The informant also claimed the twins were responsible for Gonzales's death.
Acting on this information, police searched Gonzales's belongings and discovered video evidence showing two young Black men being held at gunpoint while naked. Authorities used facial recognition technology to confirm the men in the video were the Gbadebo twins. While the brothers reportedly filed a complaint about the robbery in 2021, there is no record of Gonzales ever being arrested for the alleged crime.
Despite an initial search of the twins' apartment on 12 December yielding insufficient evidence, a subsequent investigation led to their arrest last week. Samuel Gbadebo was briefly detained after a police chase on the same day as the search but was released on bond due to lack of evidence at that time.
Both brothers now face murder charges for the two killings, with one allegedly stemming from a years-old act of humiliation that escalated into fatal violence.
