The victim has been identified as Luis Gabriel Guembes, a 15-year-old who had moved to the United Kingdom from Lima, Peru, at a young age. He was found deceased in Stoke Park, Guildford, on Monday, 19 January.

Following initial arrests, Surrey Police announced on Friday, 23 January, that a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy have been charged. Due to their age, the identities of the accused cannot be publicly disclosed.
