Suspect in Custody After Fatal Kentucky Bank Robbery Kills Two
Suspect Held After Deadly Kentucky Bank Robbery

A person of interest is in custody following a deadly bank robbery in Kentucky that claimed the lives of two employees. The individual is believed to be involved in the incident that occurred at a U.S. Bank branch in Berea on Thursday, according to Kentucky State Trooper Justin Kearney.

Details of the Robbery

Surveillance footage captured a man wearing a gray-white hoodie, gloves, and a mask as he stormed the bank and shot a male and a female employee. The suspect fled the scene, prompting a massive search effort involving local police, the FBI, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Search and Arrest

Authorities utilized helicopters, drones, and K-9 units, and conducted door-to-door inquiries to gather evidence. Schools in the area were placed on lockdown as a precaution, with students required to be picked up by parents rather than taking buses. The lockdown was lifted once campuses were deemed safe. Trooper Kearney commended the collaborative effort, stating, "This was a team effort," but declined to provide further details about the arrest.
