Early Morning Stabbing Sparks Police Response
Police in Queensland were forced to take decisive action in the early hours of Tuesday morning, after an armed man stabbed another individual and threatened a woman. The incident began shortly after 3.40am on Tuesday at the intersection of Beerburrum Road and Commercial Drive in Caboolture on the Sunshine Coast.
Armed Offender Confronted by Officers
Following reports of the stabbing, the offender fled the scene on foot. A short time later, police officers located the man on Margaret Street. The suspect, who was still armed, was found to be threatening a woman. In response to the immediate danger, a police officer discharged their firearm.
Attacker Dies at the Scene
The armed attacker was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the entire incident are now under investigation. The condition of the original stabbing victim has not been disclosed at this time.
