Police have launched a desperate search for a five-year-old girl believed to have been abducted from an outback town. The girl, Sharon, was reported missing from her residence at Old Timers Aboriginal town camp in Alice Springs about 1:30 a.m. on Sunday after being put to bed.

Description of the Missing Child

She was last seen wearing a dark blue short-sleeve T-shirt with a white ring stripe around the neck and white ring stripes around the ends of the sleeves, along with a pair of black boxer-style underwear. Authorities are extremely concerned for her welfare given her young age and the circumstances of her disappearance.

Appeal for Information

Police are urging anyone with information regarding Sharon's whereabouts or any suspicious activity in the area to come forward.
