Masked Mob Storms Bradford Garage in 'Large-Scale Affray'

West Yorkshire Police have released chilling CCTV footage showing the moment a masked mob, armed with bats and metal bars, stormed a garage in Bradford during what authorities describe as a 'large-scale incident of affray'. The disturbing event unfolded on Saturday evening, prompting a significant police response and subsequent arrests.

Details of the Violent Incident

Officers were called to Gledhill Road in Bradford at 7.18pm on Saturday following reports that three men were being attacked by multiple armed individuals. According to police statements, approximately 17 people were involved in the coordinated assault, arriving and departing in three vehicles, including a distinctive black Nissan Navara.

The CCTV image released by authorities captures the alarming scene as the masked group descended upon the garage premises. Detective Inspector Andrew Queen of Bradford CID emphasised that this appears to have been a targeted, pre-planned attack, with participants deliberately arming themselves with dangerous weapons before arriving at the location.

Victims and Arrests

All three victims of the attack required hospital treatment following the violent altercation. While one man continues to receive medical care, police have confirmed that all three are expected to make a full recovery from their injuries.

In response to the incident, West Yorkshire Police have made three arrests. Two 24-year-old men and a 50-year-old man, all from Bradford, were taken into custody. The latest update indicates that the two younger men remain in police custody, while the older suspect has been interviewed and released on conditional bail pending further investigation.

Police Appeal for Information

Detective Inspector Queen has issued a public appeal for information regarding the incident, stating: "This incident was understandably very concerning for those involved, and we are conducting extensive enquiries to identify those responsible. There is CCTV which shows the events surrounding this incident and I am hopeful that someone may have more information about the individuals or vehicles involved in this offence."

Authorities are particularly interested in information about the vehicles used during the incident and the identities of the approximately 17 individuals involved in the affray. The police have confirmed they are examining available CCTV footage as part of their ongoing investigation.

How to Provide Information

Anyone with information that could assist police with their enquiries is asked to contact Bradford CID directly or call 101, quoting crime reference number 13260047055. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or through their online reporting system.

This violent incident has raised concerns in the local community about organised criminal activity and public safety. West Yorkshire Police continue their investigation into what they describe as a serious, premeditated attack that could have resulted in much more severe consequences for the victims involved.
