A 75-year-old man has been arrested following the discovery of an elderly woman's body inside a Lincolnshire property, with police describing the death as suspicious.

The incident unfolded on Monday afternoon, January 12, 2026, when the body of an 82-year-old woman was found at a home on Elm Avenue in Cherry Willingham. The village is located in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire.

Lincolnshire Police were called to the scene and subsequently arrested a 75-year-old man in connection with the death. He remains in police custody as enquiries continue.
