Chinese Heiress Pleads Not Guilty to Additional Charges Over Rolls Royce Crash

Lanlan Yang, the 23-year-old Chinese heiress involved in a high-profile Rolls Royce crash in Sydney, has pleaded not guilty to two new charges. The charges include dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm while under the influence of alcohol, and driving with a middle-range prescribed concentration of alcohol.

The crash occurred on 26 July on New South Head Road in Rose Bay, when Yang's £1.5m Rolls Royce SUV collided with a Mercedes driven by George Plassaras, a driver for radio host Kyle Sandilands. Plassaras suffered severe injuries.

Yang had previously pleaded not guilty to four charges in November, including refusing a breath analysis, dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, failing to give particulars to police, and negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.

At Downing Centre Local Court on Friday, Yang was excused from appearing. Her lawyer, Michael Korn, applied for a bail review after Yang admitted to breaching her bail conditions last week by failing to update her address.

Yang's case has attracted significant media attention in Australia and China due to her lavish lifestyle. Her barrister, John Korn, previously stated that he never asked about her family background or nationality.

The prosecutor has requested six weeks to address the additional charges. The case is ongoing.
