Grimsby Teenager Dies Following Scooter Collision with Car

A 13-year-old boy has tragically died in Grimsby after being struck by a car while riding a self-propelled scooter. The incident occurred on Fairmont Road on Tuesday, March 24, around 6pm, leading to a police investigation and the arrest of two men.

Details of the Tragic Incident

According to Humberside Police, emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a white Seat Ibiza and a child on a scooter. The teenager was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite intensive medical care over four days, he sadly passed away on Friday evening, March 27.

Police have confirmed that an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and attempting to pervert the course of justice. A 41-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. Both individuals have since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
